Ghanaian Prophet, motivational speaker, and Gospel musician, Mighty J, has shared an interesting fact about his life and his beginnings.
In an exclusive interview with seasoned broadcaster Ola Michael on Neat FM, Mighty J opened up on his addictions and how he got himself out of them.
According to the ‘Overload’ hitmaker, who was formerly an Afrobeat singer and did secular music before switching to gospel, he was very addicted to smoking.
Mighty J, born Julius Dacosta, who grew up in Accra Newtown, revealed that he joined friends in the ghetto inside Nima and some parts of Newtown to smoke, and Ghanaian Dancehall superstar, Shatta Wale, was among the hood boys.

Mighty J indicated, however, that despite his addiction and love for smoking, certain incidents happened in his life that marked a turning point in his life, leading him to live a new life pleasing to God.
After fully becoming born-again, he now sees how good his life has become as he is now in a better place in his life.
Mighty J is currently out with a new single titled “Won’t Give Up“, an inspirational banger for all his fans, urging them to still believe in the promise of God for their lives.
The song is available on all music streaming platforms and digital stores.
