A family of four practicing polyamory has disclosed that planning intimacy is essential for them.
Kel Macettare, 41, and Bruno Cordisco, 42, who met in high school, live with their two sons — Henry, 19, and Hector, 13, and maintain an unconventional yet effective relationship dynamic: each parent has other partners.
The Brazilian couple expanded their marriage following a trip to a swingers’ club, ultimately developing romantic ties with Diego Machado and Jennifer de Faria.
Machado currently resides with them permanently, whereas de Faria pays regular weekend visits.
To handle the intricate emotional and logistical dynamics, the group depends on two household calendars — one for everyday family responsibilities and another private one solely for planning intimate moments between the adult partners.
“Kel and I have intense chemistry and we’re intimate every day,” Cordisco told NeedToKnow. “Since we dedicate weekends to our other partners, it builds up anticipation and desire between us during the week.”

The idea for a structured “sex calendar” emerged after Macettare began feeling sidelined in the group dynamic, particularly as de Faria was spending more time with Cordisco.
“In the beginning, Jennifer was spending a lot of time with Bruno, and I felt like we were losing our private connection,” Macettare explained.
“That’s when we came up with the sex schedule, so everyone could stay organized and things could feel more balanced.”

The group stated that the calendar has fostered better communication, strengthened bonds, and made sure every partner feels appreciated and involved.
During weekdays, Macettare and Cordisco focus on each other, whereas weekends are dedicated to spending time with their partners.
To preserve boundaries and privacy, the adults occasionally depart from the home to reside in motels or rental accommodations. When all four partners are together in the same place, they take turns using different rooms.

The idea of planning sexual activities is not exclusive to this Brazilian family. In New York, the Upper West Side couple Jay and Sofia Lyons have been doing the same for many years.
“It’s made our relationship one million times better,” said Jay Lyons, an Emmy-winning director and producer. “
