The Ashanti Regional NPP General Secretary, Paul Yandoh, has reacted to the stance taken by former Agriculture Minister, Bryan Acheampong, in the Chairman Wontumi case.
Chairman Wontumi was reportedly denied bail by the court after failing to meet the bail conditions following his detention over his alleged involvement in galamsey.
Byran Acheampong, who is currently contesting for the flagbearership of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), indicated that he is not going to help Chairman Wontumi by providing funds to be used to meet his bail conditions.
Reacting to this, Paul Yandoh said;
“Our shared enemy is the NDC. It is regrettable that Bryan Acheampong says he will not help Chairman Wontumi.
Who knows what tomorrow holds? I may be wealthier than him, and he could find himself in the same situation.”
