A Colombian politician, Miguel Uribe Turbay, has passed away after he suffered a gunshot wound to the head two months ago.
Miguel, who is a conservative senator and a presidential candidate, died at the age of 39 at a hospital in Bogota on August 11.
His wife, Maria Claudia Tarazon, confirmed his passing.
‘Rest in peace, love of my life. I will take care of our children,’ his wife, María Claudia Tarazona, wrote in a social media post confirming his death. ‘I ask God to show me the way to learn to live without you.’

Miguel Uribe was reportedly shot in the head three times whilst addressing supporters at a rally and has since been admitted to the intensive care unit.
