Terence Atmane has put up a very remarkable performance this year in his Cincinnati Open campaign.
Gradually, he is inching closer to the gold despite starting on a low note, and there is no stopping him at the moment, not even Flavio Cobolli, Joao Fonseca, or even Holger Rune.
You would recall, however, that Terence Atmane faced an awkward situation during a match when some Tennis enthusiasts booed at him, and they were the crowd from the home side.
Considering the fact that Terence was given his second-straight main draw wild card at the French Open, it looked very promising that he would soar on his winning spree.
When he was selected to feature in what would ultimately be his final Roland Garros match against colleague Richard Gasquet, many expected more.
The French crowd’s tense response as Terence Atmane hobbled to a very bad loss was probably caused by the build-up and his subsequent terrible displays.
Terence Atmane was particularly bagged in the last set, with fans incensed with the way he downed tools.
Given how he dominated the current field at the Cincinnati Open, it appears absurd that such effort occurred only a few months back.
