Emma Thompson, an Oscar-winning actress, has disclosed that President Donald Trump asked her out on a date the very day she parted ways officially with her then husband Kenneth Branagh.
During a conversation at the Locarno Film Festival in Switzerland, Emma Thompson reflected on her shooting of her film ‘Primary Colors’ when she got a call from Trump, who was only a successful entrepreneur.
“He said: ‘Hello, this is Donald Trump.’ I thought it was a joke and asked, ‘How can I help you?’ Maybe he needed directions from someone,” Thompson joked, according to the Telegraph.

“He said: ‘Hello, this is Donald Trump.’ I thought it was a joke and asked: ‘How can I help you?’ Maybe he needed directions from someone,” Thompson joked, according to the Telegraph.
She said Trump then invited her to stay at one of his “beautiful places” and suggested they have dinner together.
“Well, that’s very sweet. Thank you so much. I’ll get back to you,” she responded, gently turning down the invitation.
